We run a Women's adventure group and brought 27 women up this past weekend. George was an amazing host and the area and lodging was perfect for what we needed. The cabins were cozy and well maintained, we had access to many different things like a sauna, polar plunge, a heated shop to gather in if needed, info on hikes, fat tire snow biking and much much more. We are excited to come back for the years to come!

We stayed here on our dog sledding adventure in early March. Fun activities even in the winter! Wonderful location, lodging is beautiful and George, the owner couldn't be more attentive and efficient. The lake is beautiful and there is easy access.

George and the staff were most excellent. We stayed in motel. Cute, rustic full kitchenette. Large bathroom. Free parking. George had it shoveled off for us and a large bonfire outside. Has electric sauna. He offered us his fishing gear as lake wasn't frozen completely due to mild weather. Lots of skiing, hiking, ice fishing, outdoor things to do!! Ely downtown is 8 minutes away. Lots do see and eat there too this was our first couples get away in many years. We will come back in summer and in winter. Has a rustic lodge and large cabins to rent as well. It's nice to get dis connected and George waited on us hand and foot!

George and the staff were great we will be back. If your looking for a cabin or motel lots of choices. George doesn't use social media a lot but you have bonfires, fishing, and electric sauna. You won't meet a better host.

What an awesome place to stay. The owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating. They definitely care about their guests and their resort. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The cabin we stayed in was new, well equipped and comfortable. We were so thankful George, one of the owners mentioned how they could taxi us to and from the BWCA entrance and fit us with a canoe and kayak for the day. Thank you Merrick and Tory for your help in this - What an experience!!! Definitely a must if you have wanted to get a taste of what the BWCA is all about. We will definitely be back.

We wanted to get away for a few days, kind of last minute and found Timber Trail Lodge through an internet search. The cabin was very clean on arrival, staff friendly and helpful, the whole property is peaceful and has a great view of the lake. We rented a boat for half a day which was an easy process. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in Ely. Drive to town is quick and cabin comes fully stocked with kitchen utensils. We had a very relaxing time and will come again!

I do not believe I saw the "lodge". We stayed in an older 2 bedroom cabin. The place was spotless, and did not smell like a mildewy place as so many of the old resorts do. The cabin was very comfortable for the two of us, though the mattress had seen better days, and the kitchen was very clean and well appointed. The screened in porch offered a great view of the sunrise over the lake while drinking my first cup off coffee.
